As a result of their commitment to establishing the rule of law in Afghanistan, these Afghan women judges lost everything - their careers, their homes, their own personal safety, and the safety of their family members, contact with friends and loved ones - all because they are women judges.
Our goal is to provide recognition, dignity, hope, and practical assistance to restore them to the kind of life and sense of security taken away from them.
Our distinctive logo represents the history and experiences of the Afghan Women Judges. Each quadrant depicts an aspect of their experiences: (from the top)
